Twins and Christmas

Well, first of all, sorry for the silence from El Davo. Due to injuries to both my calves (no I don't have a pair of small cows), I've been pretty much sidelined for the last month. I think the problem was caused by going out for a run. It wasn't the run itself, it was the fact that dozier than usual I ran 7 kms in my cricket boots instead of my running shoes.

Anyway, I'm better now but not quite perfect which could be a problem as I'm running, with 24,999 others, in the Madrid 10k run on New Year's Eve - or as it's better known, the Sansilvestre Vallecana.

Due to further Spanish holidays in early January ('Reyes' or kings - or three Wise Men), the next scheduled Chapi match will be on Sunday 13th January although there are rumours of a crunch match the previous weekend against Robledo (my home town) in the offing.

As for the interesting Spanish fact, Calves (as in legs) in Spanish are 'gemelos' which also means 'twins'. Maybe not so interesting but certainly relevant.

good luck on the run.

Happy New Year... I'd say it in Spanish but I don't know a word of Spanish. Bloody hopeless really.
